Living the American Dream

If you were born in America, get a grip and get grateful.

I knew I had to buy into some property after staying up all night and reading the book Rich Dad Poor Dad. I was basically on board for the whole philosophy of this book.

After college was over, I was ready to move to California. I had a bunch of friends who were into skateboarding and actually making money because of their passion. My first job out of college was actually at a cool skateboard manufacturer as a designer.

My life was full of work and weekends of breaking into hotel pools to feel like the hard work had paid off. Then I found a rental with a pool! I worked to make money. When was that capital going to show up.

This guy was always a short term visitor. In and out of my life like wind. That's ok.

I took some classes at the community college to get a real estate license. Guess what I studied for 30 hours and passed that state exam one the first try to become a realtor! Cheers!

I became an assistant to a pair of super successful realtors in the Carmel California area. I've never seen so many whales in my life (you know physical and metaphorically speaking.) Though that itch of home ownership would drive our two door Honda Civic filled with our belongings and our cat across the nation to the promise land.
